Product Overview
CTC (Continuously Transposed Cable) is a specialized type of winding wire used in high-power transformers and electrical equipment. It consists of multiple individually enamelled rectangular copper conductors stacked and transposed continuously along the length of the cable. This unique transposition ensures that each strand occupies every position in the bundle equally, which significantly reduces eddy current losses and improves overall efficiency. The cable is insulated using Enamel, Nomex Paper, Kraft Paper, or Epoxy depending on the application requirement.
Key Features:
- Multiple enamelled rectangular copper strips bundled and continuously transposed
- Available in strip count from 5 to 48 strands
- Single conductor width: 3 to 12 mm, thickness: 1 to 3 mm
- Temperature class from 'A' (105°C) to 'C' (200°C)
- Insulation options: Enamel, Nomex Paper, Kraft Paper, Epoxy
- Reduces eddy current and circulating current losses
- Compact design with high space factor
Applications:
- Power transformers and distribution transformers
- Large electrical motors and generators
- Industrial furnace transformers
